Is this course ACECQA approved?
Yes. HLTAID012 is on ACECQA's list of approved first aid qualifications, and it meets the first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis management training requirements for education and care services under the Education and Care Services National Regulations. ACECQA approves the qualification rather than individual training providers, so it's delivered by Registered Training Organisations like First Aid Today that have HLTAID012 on their scope of registration. You can check HLTAID012 against ACECQA's approved first aid qualifications.
Should I choose Aspley or Rocklea?
Pick whichever is closer. Aspley suits Brisbane's north and Moreton Bay, while Rocklea is handy for the southside, Ipswich and Logan. Both have free parking with no time limit.
How much is Childcare First Aid in Brisbane?
$119 for all four units on one Statement of Attainment: HLTAID012, HLTAID011, HLTAID010 and HLTAID009.
How long does the certificate last?
Your certificate doesn't have an expiry date, but to stay current for education and care, ACECQA requires approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training to be completed every 3 years, and CPR every 12 months. First Aid Today will send you a text and email before your CPR is due so you can book a CPR refresher in Brisbane.
